A little about me
Widowed, independent, and still very much interested in living life rather than watching it go by.
I live on a private rural property in Central Maine surrounded by woods, buildings, projects, and plenty to keep me moving. I enjoy taking care of the place, being outdoors, having a reason to laugh, and sharing the everyday things that are simply better with someone else around.
I’m not looking for a nurse, a housekeeper, or someone to manage my life. I’m hoping to meet a woman who enjoys companionship, affection, conversation, a bit of adventure, and seeing where genuine chemistry might lead.
So... Why a Website?
At my age, the odds of meeting the right woman at the grocery store aren't improving. So, I figured I'd improve the odds.
I live a pretty quiet life on 140 acres in rural Central Maine. It's a wonderful place to call home, but it isn't exactly the easiest place to meet someone new.
After losing my wife, I found myself facing something I hadn't really expected.
I still enjoy my life, but I miss having someone to share it with.
I miss the conversation, laughter, affection, having someone beside me for the ordinary parts of the day, and having someone to occasionally do something completely unordinary with.
I'm not interested in sitting around waiting for life to happen, and hanging around bars hoping the right woman walks through the door isn't exactly my style either. So, with a little encouragement from friends, especially one that was able to create this site for me, I'm trying something different.
I'm putting myself out there!
I'm hoping to meet an active, independent woman who enjoys conversation, humor, affection, the outdoors, taking a ride somewhere just because we can, and maybe sharing a few new adventures together.
I've had a pretty interesting life, but I'm not looking for someone to simply hear about what I've already done.
I'm looking for someone who might want to be part of what comes next.

I’m drawn to a woman who takes care of herself, enjoys doing things, has a sense of humor, and isn’t afraid of country life. You don’t need to be an athlete, just someone who still has energy and interest in what comes next.
I’m looking for more than casual friendship. If the connection is right, I hope there is romance, affection and physical intimacy too. Nothing forced, nothing transactional, simply two adults seeing whether they enjoy being together.
